While other manufacturers bolt-on equipment that may or may not work throughout your production cycle, John Deere develops precision technology specifically for the tractors, combines, sprayers, planters, hay, and tillage products you own ... all supported by a single trusted source: West Central Equipment!
It All Starts With A Connected Machine
To use these tools, you need connected machines. A connected machine, coupled with a Generation 5 display, allows the seamless and automatic flow of your data to digital platforms such as John Deere Operations Center. When plans change, a connected machine allows you to adjust quickly and from anywhere. You will be able to update varieties, prescriptions, send new work plans and more. Here are a few ways you can get connected to the data you need to make smart decisions about situations that challenge your operation

The HarvestLab 3000 sensor enables an accurate measurement and documentation of dry matter, starch, protein, neutral detergent fiber, and acid detergent fiber in different crop types. For better fertilization planning in the next season, operators can use the HarvestLab 3000 sensor to determine and document the nutrient values taken off the field during harvest. It also helps achieve higher quality forage by enabling automatic length-of-cut adjustments on the go to ensure an optimal bunker compaction and conservation. In addition, the smart use of additives ultimately leads to higher milk yields and more efficient use of feed.
Operations Center enables smarter machines, enhanced connectivity, and achieving more informed and accurate decision making. Tools in the Operations Center provide you and your partners with the ability to analyze, edit, and make collaborative decisions from the same set of information to get higher yields and reduce input costs. These tools help you farm more efficiently by creating plans and directing in-field work, allowing you to farm more acres in less time.
Plan From Last Season's Collected Data
Looking at last season's collected data can help you plan for each production step this year. Have you looked at last season's tillage data? Did you or your operator meet the planned speed and depths? Have you decided which fields will be worked in the fall, spring, both, or no-till? Did you see a relationship between your tillage settings and yields?
Inside the Operations Center, you can see how well the completed work compared to your plans. You can also look for high or low performing areas of the field and determine if any variations in tillage settings made an impact. Based on these insights, you can create a plan that will help you maximize crop production
Monitor and Control Your Operation From the Palm of Your Hand
Whatever the job, you want a clear view of what's happening. Where are your operators? Are your machines in the right field? Is the job getting done to your standards? Which fields still need to be worked?
Using Operations Center mobile, you can see what's happening now and in the past:
- Job details like product type, actual rate, speed, total product used, and start and end times
- Progress in each field
- Maps of where product was applied
- Machine Location

Analyze Your Application Results After Harvest
Once harvest wraps up, you can dig into details of the year's work to see how each field performed and how various factors played into your yields. Which fields received an application of herbicide or fungicide? What products did you Suse this season? How did applying each product affect your yields?
