Attachments for a John Deere Compact Utility Tractor

So you're thinking about buying a John Deere Compact Utility Tractor, or maybe you just bought one. Good choice! But what all can this piece of equipment do? Here at West Central Equipment, we like to say that Compact Utility Tractors are the, "mean, green, multi-tasking machine." Good news for you, right? With the versatility and maneuverability of a Compact Utility Tractor, you have the power to transforms your property into the land of your dreams. Attachments are a great way to take your tractor to the next level, and at West Central Equipment, we carry a wide range of them. The three most popular, or commonly purchased, are a front-end loader, backhoe, and/or a mower deck. For the sake of sharing the love to some other of the attachments we carry, I'll outline other attachments that you may not have known about.

Grapple Bucket | The first attachment on my list that I wanted to tell you about is a grapple bucket. This thing is so neat because it acts like a claw machine claw, and I mean, who doesn’t like claw machines? The grapple bucket can be used to expand your loader capability by having the ability to grip onto trees, brush, roots, wood, and so on. The grapple is available in 60 or 72 inch width, and it also does require a third function hydraulic system, which is no problem because we can easily assemble that for you at any of our five stores (located in Butler, Ebensburg, Martinsburg, New Alexandria, & Somerset PA).

Bale Spear | These are such an easy and cost efficient way to move or carry around hard-to-handle round bales. The high-strength steel tines penetrate the bale, to make the handling more sturdy and secure. For this attachment, you don’t need the third function hydraulic system, you just attach it right onto your loader, and away you go! Spearing as many bales as your heart wishes.

Pallet Forks | With the pallet forks being added to your attachment list, you’ll be able to quickly move bulky pallets, boxes, and crates. The forks with floating tines can be spaced to match your load dimensions. In order to utilize this attachment, you’ll need to have the an adaptable loader. I think the pallet forks are pretty cool, but that’s just me.

Post Hole Digger | It's almost summertime, maybe you’re wanting to put a fence around your property or plant some trees or shrubbery. Whatever it may be, the post hole digger is a great way to efficiently and precisely puncture and dig into your land, you know, it definitely beats the shovel.

So there ya have it! Four more ways to take your John Deere Compact Utility Tractor to the next level. If you have any questions about any of these attachments or others like it, stop into any of our five store locations (located in Butler, Ebensburg, Martinsburg, New Alexandria, & Somerset PA) or call your local West Central Equipment | John Deere dealership.
