West Central Equipment, the John Deere agriculture and turf equipment dealer in Ebensburg, is seeking someone who has experience managing the service department of an equipment, truck or automotive dealership.  The right candidate will have background with farm, construction or mowing equipment, and a basic knowledge of equipment parts and systems.  Solid leadership ability and people skills are a must, plus the ability to learn about our equipment quickly.  West Central Equipment and John Deere provide excellent training and opportunity for future career growth.  High quality customer satisfaction and communications ability is required for this position.

Responsibilities:

Schedule and assign jobs and work areas to employees in the Service Department according to their skills and knowledge.

Assist with the development and training of service personnel and complete performance reviews of service staff.

Communicate, enforce and monitor Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.

Monitor service sales and performance measurements to ensure achievement of budgeted sales, profit and efficiency goals.

Coordinate customer clinics, field days and related promotional events.

Review work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to customer billing.

Ensures all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order.

Participate in selecting new service employees.

Qualifications:

2 years experience in service department operations.

Ability to use standard desktop software and internet applications.

Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups.

Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products.

Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports.

Ability to work extended hours and Saturday mornings.

Excellent customer service skills.
